Accessibility

General

Write‑Brained Editorial is committed to ensuring that our digital content is accessible to everyone. We view accessibility as a core component of clear, user‑centered communication and work to ensure our website is accessible to people with diverse abilities and assistive technologies.

Standards and Guidelines

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the latest stable version of the international accessibility standard. Because WCAG 2.2 builds on WCAG 2.0 and 2.1, meeting WCAG 2.2 AA also addresses almost all WCAG 2.1 AA requirements, which remain widely referenced in U.S. regulations and enforcement.

We design and review our site using the WCAG principles of perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content.

U.S. Legal and Regulatory Context

Write‑Brained Editorial works with federal agencies, state and local governments, and private industry, and we understand that each sector has its own accessibility obligations and expectations. While WCAG is not itself a law, it is the widely referenced technical standard used to demonstrate conformance with U.S. accessibility requirements.

For state and local governments, the U.S. Department of Justice’s ADA Title II rule adopts WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the required standard for most web content and mobile applications, with compliance deadlines beginning in 2026. For federal agencies and many of their contractors, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act requires conformance with WCAG 2.0 Level AA for covered information and communication technology, including websites and electronic documents.

For private sector organizations, including those subject to the ADA or working in regulated industries, WCAG Level AA is widely recognized as the de facto benchmark for accessible web and digital content. As a provider of digital accessibility services, Write‑Brained Editorial aligns its practices with these standards so that our own site and the content we help our clients create support these legal and regulatory expectations.

Accessibility on Our Site

We strive to ensure that all new and updated content on www.writebrainedits.com follows WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria. This includes attention to text alternatives for non‑text content, keyboard accessibility, sufficient color contrast, clear headings and structure, accessible forms, and support for screen readers and other assistive technologies.

We periodically evaluate our site using a combination of manual accessibility reviews and automated testing tools to help identify issues that may need remediation.

Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. As standards, best practices, and regulatory guidance evolve, we will continue to refine our website to align with current expectations, including WCAG 2.2 AA and any future updates that become widely adopted.

We also monitor developments in future standards, such as WCAG 3.0, to stay informed about the direction of digital accessibility and to reflect that knowledge in the services we provide.
